Thank you for such an incredible lunch. The owner couldn’t have helped more and took the time to explain all the meals and asked how spicy we’d like the food. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough... incredible experience, thank you to all the staff and chefs. Can’t wait to return...

So glad we tried this place! I'd had momos before but didn't know anything else about Nepalese cuisine. We were told that this is the best place to eat in Portsmouth, so we tried it and were absolutely delighted. The chicken momos were bursting with flavor. The ginger duck was gingery and umami and delicious. The plantain tarkari was fresh and savory and tomatoey and luscious. We inhaled everything they put on the table for us. The adults loved it, the teenager loved it, and we all agreed we'd make the trip back to eat this delicious food in a lovely dining room served by gracious and happy people. A dining experience.

A unique Nepalese spot with good food options. I tried the MoMo and soup, and they were excellent. The menu could have more variety, and the prices are a bit high.

I’ve walked by this place a million times and totally overlooked it! Our cousin recommended it to us, said their food was awesome. It did not disappoint. The food was incredible and it definitely is a cultural experience dining in. I do think the cleanliness of the dining area can improve, but would definitely return.

The wild boar was delicious and the medium spice level for me was perfect. My husband had the chicken and mushroom curry dish, it looked delicious but for once I was dedicated to my plate more. Do be aware that the bread IS an add on, but it's worth it as it is delicious with the dipping sauce it comes with. Service was attentive and the outside seating is my fave, since I love to people watch.

First time dining here and it won’t be our last. The food was very good. We had vegetable momos to start. No photo. We ate them too quickly :) They also prepare them with lamb and other proteins. Entrees: - my wife ordered Chicken & Mushroom Tarkari (2nd photo) - I ordered Rack Of Lamb Nepali Way. 5 lamb lollipops on the plate. (1st photo) We shared the entrees. I enjoyed both a great deal. I would order the rack of lamb as a shared appetizer next time I dine here. Service was great.

I am a visitor to Portsmouth from NYC, and I have great memories of traveling to Kathmandu, including Durbar Square. So I was looking forward to trying this restaurant on a gloomy rainy evening, and it exceeded my expectations. The bread was warm and filling. The chicken-filled momos were plentiful and yummy. The standout dish was a special thyme basil lamb, which was tender and so tasty. The waiter asked for a spice level from 1-10 and when I said I liked spicy food he recommended 6, and that was perfect. And the sikarni yogurt dessert is a MUST -- homemade overnight, creamy and delicately spiced with cardamom and saffron and so refreshing! I have never tasted anything quite like it. The owner circulated among the patrons and sat with me for a few minutes to talk about people I'd met in Nepal whom he knew. It felt like meeting an old friend. A perfect dining experience in every respect. This is the first restaurant I will go to the next time I visit.

Nepalese in Portsmouth was unexpected and the food was authentic.. nice independent ethnic restaurant in the heart of the city. Get the momo. Sit upstairs by a window and watch the people
